Is it possible to have a debate about RL Refs on here without silly or stupid comments from some people. Please try.



I have been living and working abroad for 3 years and try to keep up with watching as many RL games as possible on the TV or internet.



Later this year I will return to the UK to live and was thinking about picking up where I left off as a Rugby league supporter. Having played the game for nearly 20 years at a decent standard and supporting the game not just at my beloved Rovers but also at the KC , Boulevard and various other grounds I have always enjoyed the game.



It seems that nearly every match is awash with forward passes, poor decisions from referess and even video ref decisions that baffle me and others.



The Rovers v Hull match at the weekend topped all of the previous I have seen for poor decisions, obviously one decision stood out more than any other. The green try.



So I have decided that I will not waste my hard earned cash anymore on a game where the Referee or Video ref is not held accountable, is unable to be criticised by coaches for fear of reprisals and do not have the balls to publicly apologise for totally obvious mistakes.



So RL for me is a sport I will never pay to watch again. I will try to watch it using other means which I wont pay for.



When the sport becomes fairer and when people who make these ridiculous mistakes are made accountable for then I might reconsider my stance but until then ( then will never happen) I will take up interest in something else.



Please reply using polite and sensible language.

If you're not going to financially support the game on your return but intend to steal from it then what entitles you to n opinion?

I played the game for 20 years, I have paid to watch the game for more than 35 years, I have had SKY subscriptions.

The most salient part of your post is that you intend to steal your viewed games when you return, expecting the rest of us to support the game today and in the future on your behalf.

Actually, for a man with an ego the size of Ganson's the public censure is probably more painful than any other sanction.

What do you expect them to do? He's been "brought to book" by the RFL, something you seemed to think wouldn't happen. When they consider further they may do more, but it was a pretty quick reaction
