| Quote j_hunter_hkr="j_hunter_hkr"You've already done that by talking about "core support" and "I can show you season passes from 1994". You're the one dividing the fans into pre and post promotion eras. The club don't see attendence figures as 2000 die hards + 6000 bandwagoners.
The fact is, Rovers don't owe the die hard supporters anything. Yes, they obviously appreciate the support of the past 20 years, but I supported Rovers because I wanted to, not because I expected something in return or a pat on the back.'"
Well said..
I despise the term bandwagon jumper. If your a fan and want a ticket you get one. Simple as that. You dont ring up Humberside, comment on here or talk in the pub complaining about how you cant get tickets etc anymore.
We would be nowhere without the "new" fans and we will go nowehere if we stop getting "new" fans. I want as many people as possible watching and supporting Hull KR anybody who doesnt is deluded.

| Quote hullkr14="hullkr14"I agree I am totally sceptical about this and have not joined, but I can show you a season pass for every year since 1994 - will I be disregarded as a supporter because I haven't forked out £60? I will not be joining until there is a worthwhile reason to do so.
If the club charge me £42 more to renew my season pass than someone who has been a member of this club for a week then the answer is a simple one. I will not buy a season pass. Is that really what the club want?'"
In the present economic climate there is no way that many loyal fans will be able to afford the £60 extra, i think it is poor timing by the club with regards to this scheme, given the present climate and will upset many of those loyal fans if they find they cannot get into their prefered seat or stand because of it. i hope tht NH and the club can give some assurances to those who cannot join simply because of their financial position, are not been disgarded or penalised in any way.

With respect (because you normally talk a lot of sense on here) I am not saying that I expect anything in return, in fact I am saying the opposite. Yes I have been supporting rovers for a long time but I do not feel they owe me anything for that. What I am saying is why do we need to introduce a scheme that divides it's supporters? And if we really must have a scheme why has it been brought in so quickly, therefore not giving those who can't afford to join now the chance to join later and still get the same benefits?
For me there is one simple solution. Put the prices of the passes up and be honest about the reasons why, and make all season pass holders members of club rovers. Do it in january so that people have the chance to save up.

I agree with you on the timing of the announcements etc. and I think it would be a good idea for the club to extend the deadline for the pass price freeze so people have more time. I do think marketing is an area where Rovers need to improve.
The club saying something like you suggested ("we need more money to continue competing at this level and are therefore raising pass prices next year"icon_wink.gif would be a PR disaster. It makes far more sense to launch an "exciting new scheme like no other" to increase income [iand[/i give the fans something for their money and an incentive to join.

Yes that probably would be a PR disaster, but as I said at the very start I will not be joining until there is a decent incentive to do so. At the moment I cannot see many benefits for me personally and of my many family and friends who go to rovers none of them have joined so far, I can only draw my own conclusions from that.

| Got to agree with most that has been posted here, I would have thought increasing prices this year, including a 'club' membership in the pass and then giving those people the benfits of being a member would have been the best idea.
The deadline is the most ill thought part of the scheme in my view. If the club said basically you have until the end of september to purchase your pass it will cost x for the basic pass and x+y for the pass plus CR membership with added benefits of shirt disount, next year pass freeze etc then they would get a lot higer take up and it would be better recieved.

| If I had until January to buy both my pass and my membership to Club Rovers I would probably join. I don't claim to be one of the 1500 diehards, although I can claim to have supported Rovers from 1977 - 1993 home and away until other commitments came along. I'm a 'returning fan', who's 'commitments' have now grown up and also become interested in Rovers, we've gone as a family of four since 2005. Each year season passes have been bought around Christmas when we've always got ours during the discounted period. We will hopefully buy our passes at the same time for next season, giving Rovers the same amount of money, or actually slightly less, but getting no benefits - that's the way it is for us and I have to accept that. I don't want any special treatment, I just want to be on a an equal footing with all other fans in the ground, not a second class fan. A 23% increase is alot to stomach in current times, but if we can possibly do it then we will be there.

| i was at the meeting and the full reasons behind the scheme seem very well thought out, to date the have already 1500 members signed and the intrest has been massive, if you have any questions or qualms about the scheme dont rely on 3rd or 4th hand info just contact the club direct

| Won't be buying one, don't see any incentives. If they want to charge more for a pass then fair enough, but it's disgusting the whole 'scheme' and the way they're doing it.

| I thought i had heard somewhere that the monies raised were going to help build the East Stand Extention?
If this is the case, it seems as a good idea as building this space will increase revenue that may have been lost by giving the discount specified
If it is to pay the bills, does not seem a good idea!
Did they say want the needed the money for?
