| Add Pat Weisner to the list.
Rivett was really good for us.

| Agree re Courtier (sp) - did some very neat moves/plays at times, perhaps just not consistent enough to move to the next level, but did a job for us like people have said.
Always wonder if players like Goddard and Tangles would have made it in SL - fantastic in NL1. Also Kane Epati: looked absolutely outstanding with that hat-trick away to Cas in 2005, but guess didn't do enough in other games for us.

I thought Tangles did really well for us in our 1st SL year and then was probably one of the few who stood out for Celtic in their 1st season in SL. Always looked a threat but just not really good enough to use a quota spot on.

Spot on, he definitely did work on his game and improve. I wasn't a big fan at first but by the time he left I was disappointed. However, we then brought in players of the calibre of Galea and Newton. Tangata-Toa could never have moved us onto the next level.
Quote barham red="Roofs" Goddard.'"
Scored try's for fun in the NL's and had we been further on in our development as a team I'd have liked him to stay. Was very defensively sound in his one SL season and I think had the potential to become a very solid centre given a few more years to be brought along.
Unfortunately, at the time, we as a club didn't have a couple of years to nurse players along and see how it panned out ( I am now praying to The Rugby Gods that SmokeyTA doesn't see this or we're all in the shizzer) and Morgan's decision to let him go has been vindicated by the amount of time he's spent on the treatment table at 'Fax.

| Jon Goddard is one player i wish we had kept. He showed enough in 2007 to indicate that he could grow into a good Super League player.
He was devastated when Rovers released him after working so hard at Oldham and Rovers to get himself back into Super League after leaving Castleford. I know that he was dreading dropping back into the National Leagues and i think it knocked the stuffing out of him because he hasnt been the same player since.

| Dwayne Barker has been out of the pro game since the end of the 2009 season and is currently playing at stand-off for amateur side Oulton Raiders. Doesn't look like he'll be playing for a professional side in 2011 either. Shame, as I always rated him as a talented player with a lot to offer.

| Been watching a couple of games from 7-9 years ago the last few days, e.g. that classic (for it's time) play-off game at Rochdale in 2003. Would have loved to have seen what players like Paul Mansson and Ally Mac could have done in SL in a team like we have now.

Whilst im thankful to him in his efforts getting him to super league, a quick look on the sl stats site shows he played 20 super league games for us and scored twice.
Not a good enough return for a super league centre and so I can understand why he was let go. Not knocking the guy but, especially back then when we had promotion and relegation to worry about, tough decisions had to be made and ultimately, he was given a crack and didnt do well enough.
