| I know a way of cutting costs of ground developments, we could move the pitch right up to the new North stand, which would mean the new East extension might not be needed as the end would then be near the south try line.

Moving the pitch will cost money
Keep the pitch where it is and don't build any extension - will cost nothing

Won't cost much, just about 20m of extra grass, if that. The ground is lop sided as it is.

| Cost something tho. Leaving it will cost nout!
The ground is lop sided no matter where the pitch is until the south end is addressed. Moving the pitch a few metres closer to the north will hardly fix it. Just make the south terrace that little bit frepper and the RM totally out of symmetry.

What they should have done is extend the pitch towards the south end and extended the east stand on the south end of the ground. When it came to the building of the North stand it could have being built with the glorified office block running adjacent to the east stand. You then have a four sided ground with all stands offering cracking views of the pitch.
Now that wouldn't have cost any extra as the pitch could have been moved when it was replaced

| Quote Easty="Easty"Thinking about ground developments this afternoon and it got me thinking about unused space at Rovers. What ideas do people have to increase the revenues at Craven Park without costing the club huge sums of money?
First one I had was the west stand. They fitted the media box quite easily for the sky crew. Couldn't we carry on across the stand and make 7 hospitality boxes.
'"
It can't be done, the stand's not straight.
It would be great if you got to rebuild the South Stand. A covered standing stand, square to the pitch, along with the North Stand would make a great atmosphere, especially on Derby Day.

| We should take note of some of the smaller football sides in the country and look at there small terracing behind the goals. You can get smart terracing which holds 1000+ for not much. Just keep it simple for the south side

| Realistically, i think we can put any other ground developments on hold after completion of the North Stand. Even taking away the current South Terrace our capacity will be 10000 which is more than ample currently. We will have 3 restaurants, numerous bars and executive boxes. More than enough revenue streams when you throw in the lottery, merchandising etc to make the Club sustainable if we get some consistency on the pitch and get somewhere close to that 10000 crowd figure.

Neil Hudgell hinted that there was. But it was early stages and no details were given.

Small standing only stand with a retractable roof for derbies when its chucking it down would do
