I would be quite annoyed if I was a Hull fan about playing before everybody else in the final round. It might not matter, but the way things look at the moment, it could easily.

I come in peace JTP.
Salford are in disarray, yes, but suspect that the arrival of Aussie supremo Tim Sheens at training today to take charge of same and other rugby matters at the Red Devil's until the end of the season could just kick-start this bunch. Just as Brian Smith is doing at the Wildcats.
What might be a problem that undermines success is resentment and bad feeling caused by some players and staff allegedly not receiving wages on time, this according to their fans forum.
Scott Taylor is sulking as he has no spare pennies to splash out on his beloved extra pies. |

I'd throw discipline in there too. In/around the ruck is one of our biggest frailties for me. This certainly seems to be emphasised more away from home, but then just about every other aspect of our play is too, in comparison to home form.

From the regular (9) away games thus far (not incl. magic)
@ HT we've been behind 8 times. Only vs FC have we been ahead.
Indeed if you expand to second half too, then we've only won the 2nd half twice ... (FC 2-0 / Widnes 12-6)
In short 18 halfs of footy, we've won 3.
We're also defensively consistent too ... 136pts conceded 1st half and 135pts conceded 2nd half. |

Not sure where that stat came from, but we beat Huddersfield and Wigan back-to-back over Easter?
I'm hopeful this time around we'll have a head coach who wont drop our star youngster (Niall Evalds) for no apparent reason and will play Rangi back in his best position at 6.
Sheens has been taking training this week, so I expect our lads to be fired up.

It took smith a few weeks to turn things around at wakey so no reason to believe sheens will make a significant difference so quickly. I just think rovers have a bit more momentum than salford and need to win the game more than they do. If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up but I don't think I will be |
