Cheer up Stanley Gene!! and good luck to the rest, Spoke to Makka on Saturday and he told me that he is gonna use Hull as his home and stay for life.

Fozz, done a committed job for us this season, a player that puts it on the line week in week out.
Fitzy, a really professional player, he's done everything that's been asked of him (I'll be glad not to have to see him kicking from acting half, nerves can't take another season of that) and added a real touch of creativity at times. Good luck back at West's.
Makali Aizue, what can be said? Block busting, bone crushing PNG Highlands mashing machine! One of the scariest blokes on the park and one of the most charming, modest and shy off it. A truely exciting player to watch, but to be honest I think his loyalty to us maybe held him back from achieving everything he could have. Has anyone ever seen this bloke moan on the field or be anything other than 100% committed? No. Never. Not in this fellas make up.
Totally for the cause, Sunday after Sunday from Barrow to London Skolars. No one player has put more effort and shed more blood, sweat and years off his life to get Rovers back to where he never knew we'd come come from.

An absolute top bloke and true legend of the game in a time when there aren't many about. I can't think of anyone more HKR than Stan, and yet I still respect the bloke enormously.
I first met him fresh off the plane when he first signed, and he went to Ritzy rock night of all places. I was the only one there who knew who they was. At a time when KR was getting 1,500 crowds and FC 5,000 there wasn't as many fans about! Him and John Okul insisted on buying my drinks all night and then went for more drinks in their flat above Suds. They plied me with Gin and afterwards I had alcoholic poisoning for the next week!
My favourite derbies are the ones when it was pretty much Gene vs Vaikona, and the only people that went was the genuine partisan fans of both clubs, the types that followed both clubs to all the cumbrian outposts in appalling conditions, but I digress.....
Goodbye Stanley, and all the best for the future. If they build their new stand I hope they name it after you.'"

Great post. We briefly met Makka a few years ago whilst at some co fishing lakes, he was there with his 2 sons, he came across as you say a very quiet and shy man, although the fishing bailiff was a rovers supporter he was a bit worried that Makka was going to take the carp home for tea that he had caught  |
