Garage is trying to get the manufacturer to do at an act of goodwill as it's only five months out of warranty and shouldn't have needed replacing for another fifteen thousand miles. If they won't it's going to be a rather expensive affair.

Exactly the same thing happened to my mates Toyota jeep it was going to cost him something stupid like 6 grand when it was only a few months out of warranty I think he ended up paying a fraction of it so good luck with that

You wouldn't have a Land Rover mitsubishi, would you? Jeeps and Land Rovers are the originals and best. Referring to your cheap imitation wannabe as a 'jeep' is a bit cringy. In the same way that you wouldn't refer to your glass of Cava as Champagne. Or your double oven as your Aga.



Dyson hoover is, however, perfectly acceptable as Dyson is the superior product. And in the same way that people say sellotape, escalator and durex it doesn't matter because all these brand names describe everyday objects that are familiar and ever-present. Hoover's the same. Jeep isn't.
