No mate, they have only cleared the ground in preperation.



I have, however, found out this morning that work has been suspended due to Hull KR not being granted planning permission yet. They started the groundwork hoping that it would be granted during this period, but it hasnt happened.

Oh joy.

Indeed, it's not as if it's come as a surprise that we're planning on building a new stand and I don't think you have to be that much of a construction expert to assume that if you're thinking of building a whopping big structure complete with crematorium chimney you might have to get permission to do so.

Oh, ffs. They need to build it horizontally, not vertically, otherwise all the people will just fall in a big lump at the bottom.

Wonder if planning permission has ran out (they do have time limits)?

It's in there as an approved minor amendment to an existing application - adding a door and 3 windows. Unless there has been another amendment to make since, but I can't see anything.

I belive they have a 3 year limit.

June 08 would still mean they are valid as the works have already started.

All I know is that I spoke to the site manager this morning. He said that work had been put on hold as there was no planning permission in place for the extension. When I was last there 3 weeks ago they didnt have the final design drawings at that point. I supose its possible that the drawings could have failed building regs. Either way, work is definitely on hold.

Is that someone being thrown out
