I'm not quite sure Tony Martin is such a bad signing, would we complain if we signed Beaver?? At 33 he's done the job at Crusaders and been a stand out at centre. He is tall, big buid and pretty quick, he can also catch cross field bombs with ease. Ok he isn't Martin Gleeson and it will be a shame if Turner isn't kept in the centres because he's come in to his own there this past season but they need depth in the outside backs.

He isnt tall, hasnt a big build and hasnt the pace that he once had. Apart from that a fair summary. Please dont compare him with all-time great Steve Menzies either.
