Thinking of going to Sheff quite early for a few beers,is Kelham Island pub within walking distance of the stn or do i want bus/tram. IIRC not to many real ale pubs in Attercliffe either

It's about a 10 minute walk.

Which way ?

It's not as easy walk to describe to someome and the tram takes you a long way round and doesn't particular drop you that close either.

If you have google I'd let them work a route out for you



There are other real ale pubs close to the Kelham i.e. Fat Cat and Harlequin and Shakespeare on Shalesmoor





Have you been in the Sheffield Tap which is actually part of the station building or the Norfolk Arms is on Brown street a 2 or 3 minute walk?



Attercliffe for pubs is a desert never mind decent pubs.

The only one is the Carton again 5 mins from DVS

If it is still there (I haven't been for a couple of years) the Kings Head on Attercliffe road does (did) good real ale, about 5-7 mins walk to DVS. The Cocked Hat (next to DSV) did do some really good Pedigree up to about 3 years ago when it changed hands, again not been in there for a couple of years, so the Pedigree may have improved since the last time I was there.



There are some good ale houses just offthe tram stops on the way to/from Kelham Island from DVS, with the likes of the Devenshire Cat, Fat Cat (near Kelham Island), Red Deer and Wellington (previously the Cask & Cutler).



Though you might not see much of the game if you have a couple of beers in each.

Pretty nervous about this game...



Think after their defeat at home to Featherstone and the way in which they lost the NRC Final last year they will be pumped up for this one.



No doubt we will be too but I don't think we are on-form at the minute even though we have won our last three games.



Hoping for a win but I can't see it so I'm going to wimp out and not predict the score...

Cocked Hat is open every now and again and they don't have much to be honest, The Sportsman, under the bridge after Don Valley a 5 minute walk from the ground is your best bet.
