Something is seriously wrong when a man can make >100k in illegal earnings and not pay tax on that money and still get funding from the state - I am not surprised you can't see that. I have always thought you resented those with real money - its those real red roots of yours from your time at the lefty chip paper producer.
'"
Presumably the state was unaware of his ill-gotten gains and how he procured them until he was caught?
What is wrong in society is that family members can see unlawful activity happening, are willing to simply sit back until the matter comes to the attention of the relevant state authorities and then blame the state for not doing anything.

Darling, you haven't had a "thought" in a long time. You'd need to activate your brain to do that.
I'm doing pretty nicely too – at last. I certainly don't mind people having a decent income – I rather like it myself. I wouldn't say 'no' to a bit more (and am making efforts to achieve that).
[uAnd I have never suggested otherwise; at any time or in any place.[/u
Although it doesn't surprise me that, in your fantasy world, you seem to think that you know different.
However, on the basis of these comments, I look forward to your campaigning against corporate tax avoidance in the future.
Incidentally – you might find that the Revenue would have fun trying to collect tax on "illegal earnings". The clue is in the first word: "illegal earnings" are not usually declared to anyone – let alone the taxman or the benefits office. And presumably that was why the police got involved at some stage after you'd conveniently not seen what was going on.

What's funny though is that the biggest outrage caused is by his claiming benefits, not by his life-ruining dealing in drugs.

It reminds me of this:
Substiute the [iSun[/i or the [iMail[/i or [iSky News[/i (and there are one or two connections going on here) and you have the same situation.

| Hmmm yes, I believe that "connection" was recently seen at the home of rich people in July, a Wimbledon final. This despite saying he didn't want to do business in Britain anymore. Which I think he thought would shock and upset people. All I heard was the sound of uproarious laughter and delight.

Indeedy.
He's not alone in promoting those attitude, of course. I mentioned the [iMail[/i – I could easily have added the [iExpress[/i and others too.
But that attitude is like the 'I look down on him' class sketch from [iThe Frost Report[/i – or even a form of the old song, [iThe Only Consolation is to Kick the Cat[/i.

| Quote Hull White Star="Hull White Star"There can't be any doubt in anyones mind now surely that the Tories have lost the plot.'"
Aside from the insanely rich, who are watching their fortunes increase exponentially, I imagine there are few people who have confidence in the Tory-Lib-Dem government. Unfortunately, come the next election, the overwhelming majority will predictably fall into line behind whatever appealing-but-never-to-be-realised manifesto promises the Labour propaganda department dreams up. The small group of policy-making Tories (as opposed to back-benchers who have little real power) will then jump ship to the boards of whatever corporations they've been schmoozing for the past four years, set up lucrative lobbying businesses or stay on (at considerable tax-payer expense) safe in the knowledge that they will likely be integral players in the next Tory government four or eight years on. Meanwhile, the Labour Party will blame all the countries ills on the previous government whilst slavishly following the same US/IMF-dictated economic "reforms" all three parties have been only to happy to kowtow to for the past two decades despite the fact that they are sucking the country dry. Ditto the war on the poor, the middle classes and any foreign nation stupid enough to defy our undeniable right to their natural resources.
Meanwhile the people will continue to delude themselves into thinking there [ireally is[/i a choice at the ballot box rather than get off their backsides and wrestle power back from the most corrupt, decadent and morally bankrupt Parliament in over a century.

Its working too..............................
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... Smith.html
.........................if you believe the tory and DM propaganda.
The article has more spin in it than a ferris wheel. When IDS says its working and people are looking for jobs what he's really meaning is that JSA claims have gone up. Upto a million ESA claimants will be taken off contributory ESA and placed onto JSA. More than a little lie going on here methinks, more like a massive whopper.
