| Whilst I agree it wasn't the best of games this season, is it really necessary for certain "fans" to boo the team off the pitch at half time. I don't feel its encouraging, yes it wasn't a pleasant first half to watch and rather frustrating when we know how well we can play at times, but really is this the right way to encourage the players to play better? Wouldn't it be better to cheer them on with a "come on lads" or something, or am I being a little nieve? I thought that you supported a team through good and bads times (and oh boy I have seen some bad times in the past), this season has been good and look at our position in the table!!!
So come on be a little more encouraging, not down beat. You know the old saying "you win some and you loose some" No team can be great all the time just look at whats happening to St Helens (Tee Hee!!!)

| whilst i did not boo myself!
in what other way do u supose we get across to the team that as paying spectators we are not happy with the team performance! i gave up shouting encouragment 20 mins in!
if i had chosen to boo, then i would have been booing the performance rather than an indivdual
No i have to say that booing is a clear way to get across that we are not happy with the performance.
I am allowed to cheer when we are doing well - so to say i cannot boo when we are not doing well is double standards!
Booooooooooooooooooooooooo to the first half yesterday and to the widnes game- we were shocking!

To be honest i think it was the total lack of effort and pride the shirt that had the crowd booing and yes i think on that performance they deserved everything they got. If the team looked to be putting the effort in but were still getting beat then its acceptable and the crowd would be behind them, but come on 50 points at home ? what a joke!

Spot on with both posts.
As for the number of people booing, if it was a minority they sounded pretty loud.

Agree, around me it was just about everyone. Some other fans were confronting those booing but it is the first time this has happened and i think it is just people saying enough is enough.
As long as it does not start to happen is every game then I am sure that MC will have been saying have you heard that at half time and used it as part of his gteam talk at half time.
That's what me and my mate Bingo think anyway.

| By the time he had strolled across the pitch into the changing rooms it would of been time to go back out,a bit of urgency was needed perhaps if they was a pint waiting he would walk a bit faster

| jonnie and mr boots are spot on. It wasn't a certain few, it was a large chunk of the fans. And whilst not doing it myself, the team fully deserved what they got.
I'm all for positivity, but you have to draw a line.

| Booing is pointless, counter productive and very childish. If anyone wants to boo then may i suggest that they go to one of those silly American wrestling shows. Get behind the club and the form will come back.

| There is no answer to this unless you ask the players.
But its like anyone that works in management will know people respond differently to criticism and have to be managed differently.
Whilst some players may think its deserved and it may actually pick them so they perform better I bet a lot would say it doesn't help them and makes them feel worse, who knows?
I like to think the team and fans are all in this together and if the players dislike the fans they might not want to come out and play well for us...whatever people will say about they are paid to do it or whatever...i know a lot of people who are paid to do a job but don't do it effectively when they feel they have been publicly criticised

The team was boo'd off at half time and their performance improved in the second half?
I didnt boo, myself, but like Jonnie I agree that was the only way some people can vent what they feel.

I personally think that we couldnt play as bad in the second half as we did in the first, plus i felt that Haven took their foot off the gas as they were so far ahead. I think it had very little or nothing to do with the booing. Cant see any reason for it IMO regardless of the performance.
