Just seen a tweet from League Express columnist Gareth Walker that Daryl Powell WILL be Castleford's new coach. Going to be a difficult season for him, I think. Wonder what made him decide to leave the club where he's had most success at?

Will be announced after Batley match. I'll miss his smiling happy face. I was going to comment on the fact that at least Castleford won't have the opportunity of choking but when the new league format comes into play they may have to attend a relegation type final. At least t-shirt printers in Castleford will be rubbing their hands.

On the outside the club gives out all the right messages but all is not sweetness and light behind closed doors.

I think that's wishful thinking GFB. They have been an outstanding club over the last three years; compared to where they were in the prevailing years.

If this is true and Powell does go to Cas then Fev are losing a superb coach in my view. All joking and banter aside you have got to give him a lot of credit for what he has done at Fev regardless of our rivalry with them and obviously other issues. He has taken them to the next level from where they were in terms of performance etc. Good luck to him even if he doesnt like us i say!

Was at the rovers ground yesterday with brighouse u13s. I wondered why a lot of the fev players looked gutted, I thought they had just had an hard training session

He's done a better job at Fev than at Fax and Cas tho!



I don't think we should put our eggs in the basket of Fev being in turmoil. We've caught them on the pitch just about, now we need to better them in other areas, make old Faisal throw his toys and go somewhere else!



They are the benchmark right now, we have to raise our game above theirs, not hope they lose moment

I'll ditto this even though I can't for the life in me see what is there for him and how this could be classed as a move up.



Big loss to Fev, yes it would be for any club but they will survive and I'm sure they will attract a lot of interest from some good coaches.
