Same squad,so possibly same 17..have to defend better and kick better in general play.Eastmond doesn't seem to like the big 2 units from Dewsbury
but our defence was better early doors with them in the team and do Jobe and the 2 kids have any attacking threat ?

I haven't a clue what to expect performance wise from us we can go from conceding really soft tries to scoring long range ones which look great. I watched the Fev game against Hunslet and i think it is fair to say they got the 2 points without playing very well so i would expect a improvement from them come friday night. Team wise for us if Crooks is fit i would pick him instead of Graham bring Joufrett back in the halfs put Woody to fullback Nofoaluma on the wing give Salty the night off and if fit Dixon would be in my pack too.

Crooks not in squad but what on earth did Brad Graham do wrong to get dropped,particularly from the centres..?

Would agree 100% with those comments- don't really expect Crookes to be fit this week, and sadly don't also expect any of the other perfectly sensible suggestions to be acted on. Also have no idea why we signed Halafihi - a very average hooker, yet to feature in a squad, and who will surely only get a game in the event of injury to O'brien or Inman.

Crooks is in the squad and it is just a guess by me that i think he is fit to play.


As for Brad graham i was referring to Charlie being left out this week and i was  picking a side from the announced squad for this week's game and taking performances from the Widnes game inter account. So i thought both Tibbs and Johnson should be kept together on the left and put Crooks back in on our right side which is our weak side. I would have no problem with Brad Graham being on the bench for friday.

I have no idea why we signed Halafihi either it is clear to me that we need to strengthen at centre and prop first and foremost but we seem to be signing in every other position other than those.

On the positive side we seem to have a fully fit squad halfway through the season and if we can regain some of our ealy season form I think we should be one of the contenders for the playoffs , whilst I hate odsal kyles style of play may actually suit it.


50/50 game for me on friday .

Penalties penalties penalties we didn't half make life hard for ourselves last night against a pumped up Fev side in very warm conditions. 


Some of the calls i would need to watch back because they seemed very harsh on us but harsh or not you cannot give away such a lopsided number of calls and expect to win unless you can defend like Hull KR which we can't.


Nofoaluma was very good at fullback dealing with the high kicks a lot better than last week and he carries the ball very strong but i would still have Woody if not injured there.


Upfront Calcott got knocked back more than i have seen before and the problem is if a side does a job on him and Douglas we have no other impact upfront. Playing back rowers there doesn't work for me when the opposition can bring on more size it hurts us.


With injuries to both Johnson and Woodburn-hall will Jouffret finally get put back in the halfs next week i hope so but wouldn't be surprised if Kyle goes for someone else. I don't see what Tupaea and cowen bring to the side that Brad Graham cant so he would be back in for me too. 

Didn’t go and never will and just listened to the commentary with an all too familiar pattern of late to how we played and how the game went and having seen the highlights it just underscored our own lowlights (with a full supporting incompetent performances with that idiot in the middle again.)

Even the coach expects or at least isn’t surprised that we regularly contribute to our own downfall and with no wins and just 1 solitary point on the table  since April I just can’t see where our next win is coming from.


Woody should be at 1 and with Nofa being a record try scorer as a winger that’s where he should be and getting sick of seeing the side weakened by self inflicted selection decisions, regardless of how our season started the fact is it hasn’t worked for weeks and we are going backwards quickly.

Correct. Eastmond's inexperience at this level is beginning to show, and he needs to step back and have a think about things. We really need to beat Oldham, but i'm not confident we will. 

Be surprised if Woody is fit for the Oldham game and if not it will open up the opportunity for LJ to start at 6.

Interesting to see if Eastmond still won’t do so and play Inman in there with the other 9, Halafihi who hasn’t featured coming into the squad.

If Woody’s injured and he goes the way of leaving Louis out then there will be a lot more unhappy people in the ranks.
