| IMO there is only one choice for the job. The best english coach we have, and have had for many a year, John Kear.

| Not wanting to stir things up here, but with Wakeys financial situation, do you think that JK may just see the England job as a little more secure??!!

| He more or less said he'd be interested on the BBC at the start of the France, Aus game.
I only hope they don't allow whoever they pick to retain their club position as well.

| John Kear..be good to have a Cas born coach in charge .
Wakey fans wont like it but he's the best english coach out there,is patriotic and would take it if asked i reckon.
As his assistant somebody like Paul Sculthorpe,or somebody who could be groomed alongside Kear to maybe take over from him in a few years

| I know the score sheet flatters the aussies and they are without doubt the best and we will probably never match their class.
But i liked the team Smith put out, they did fantastic at times and a great mix of age and talent. I hope the the new boss keeps faith with these youngsters.
I would be happy with Kear as new boss i cant say many names jump out at me for new boss.

Would be a dream appointment in my eyes, would love him in there with a young British coach to sort out English RL and train up a successor.
Doubt it'll happen though

| Not too bothered about the nationality as long as he can do the job. The foundations are there, just need to build on them.

Agreed. I think Paul Anderson would be a great choice for assistant. I think he is doing a good job at hudds.

| Wayne Bennett, would the chance of winning a 3rd World Cup with a third different nation appeal to him?
If an Englishman then surely John Kear is the only choice within the game at present.
Looking outside RL, Shaun Edwards?
