| Very good performance.
Josh Griffin my man of the match by far. He was just so dangerous down that left-hand side having an input in a couple of tries and scoring two himself.
I've got a feeling, if he can maintain this sort of play, he could be another Brett Ferres in the fact that he came to us with a less-than-glowing report from our beloved neighbours and has completely proved them incorrect.

I can kind of see where you are coming from, Griffin (like Nash) look to be confidence players that need to be mothered alittle but he isn't going to be up against Sykes and Ainscough every week, but like you say its a good start.
Thought the new signings went fairly well..Nash didn't do much wrong and Lee Mitchell put in a decent stint in defence.
All of them seem eager to impress and were enthusiastic which is good to see.
One player who could be a terrace favourite is John Davies, his build reminds me of a Bull Terrier and he is as aggressive as one too, he really gets stuck in

You mean it will be nearly a full season before the Cas fans realise he is pants for all but the odd game?

Ferres isn't though as 'pants' by Cas fans as you have put it. Quite the opposite in fact, as his selection in the England train-on squad suggests.

I don't think there was much of an anti-Griffin sentiment last season. I think most people thought he did okay.
I don't know where he played for you today, but I remember a few last times last year he showed a distinct lack of pace (although I think he was carrying injuries at times). I reckoned that he might end up in the second row, because he is a big lad and mobile.

| Was pretty sceptical about the Griffin signing but thought he went well today. He's a big centre which I think is something we need, deffo has a turn of pace and some skill to his game.. And without being too harsh to the lad (due to wind) I hope he is 5th choice kicker next season!

He played centre and outpaced the Bradford defence for his first try. Boy can he move. With the right attitude he could be as dangerous as Keith Senior in centre.
