| batleyrhino: Leadership is still a massive problem in this squad.
You're dead right about that. After giving it a bit of thought the only natural leader I see is 21 year old second rower. Too soon for him though.

| Emagdnim13: The problems are still apparent.
We need a 7 that can kick us around the park like Sinfield/ Dunnemann could and steady the ship.
We need a prop like Kylie/Peacock that can lead the pack by example and hold them to account.
We could do with Jenkins or Palasia in the backrow to add some power but we don't have the props to do that.
We need some tactics/ plays that actually get our centres/ wingers good ball with space.
Yep couldn’t agree more with that. It’s going to take some time to fix that’s for sure

| On the positives, the defence is looking a lot better than in the last few years. Lumb and Gannon I thought were really good, and I actually think Palasia did pretty well in his first stint - he looks a decent signing to me. We missed Tom Holroyd, as Lisone didn't offer enough impact off the bench, and Jenkins was more steady than impactful.
When you're carrying a few passengers in the team, you can't afford for your good players to have an off day. Croft was awful, Connor missed that early chance, and Ash dropped the ball when it looked like he had broken clear. Our passing from dummy half was awful, no player caught the ball with momentum going forward, so many passes were overhead. Back row (Gannon aside) is also still a problem for me. That being said, I think out better players playing to their usual standard, and we win that game.
Looking forward to seeing Sinfield in the halves with Croft next week, as I just still can't see what Frawley offers. Would also look to start O'Connor over Ackers. The only way to get out of this Man Utd mentality is to bring through our own players. Jackson Hastings and Will Pryce are not the answer for me. The big signings over the last few years just haven't worked.

| All Leeds had to do to win the game was to cut out the dropped ball and respect possession.
Defensively we were fine, line speed fine. Quite a few individuals played well, e.g. ECW, Lumb, Gannon. I thought the forwards generally did well, and I thought Palasia was strong. The forwards can't really be blamed for not setting a platform if someone drops it every time we get into an attacking position.
Brodie Croft had one of his worst performances in a Leeds shirt. I'm starting to wonder whether he's the half we need. No doubt he's a skillful player, but most of what he is trying to do isn't working with the rest of the team, a bit like Sezer when he was here. I think we look more natural with Connor and Sinfield in the halves.
Early days yet. If we were the real deal we would have ground this one out, and snuffed out Wakey too. Still very much a work in progress. If we keep the line speed and defensive effort going hopefully the ball-in-hand stuff will improve and we'll get some wins.

| Yeh, a really bad day at the office. Frustrating cos Cats were there for the taking. Mistakes cost us. Cut out some of those and we win that game.
The intensity, line speed and defence are really good. BA has clearly focussed on that and it shows.
But the attack was just awful. Croft had a shocker, but he's that kind of player. We have to stick with him. Frawley offers nothing and Connor has to play in the halves. But can't see BA doing that. Frawley is strong defensively and that's why BA likes him. Unless Frawley does a stint at 9 with O'Connor, because sadly Ackers has been really poor for us.
Both wingers played well. Lumb looks better every game and will surely make the grade. At FB I expect. And was impressed with ECW.
Also impressed with Jenkins and Palaasia - both ran well. Thought Jenkins was the pick of the front rowers. Gannon is looking really good. He plays instead of McDonnell who hasn't got going yet this season.
But the mistakes and lack of cutting edge cost us dearly. Much to work on still.
Tough 3 games coming up now. But I think that's a good thing. We go into all of them as underdogs. I think we'll get something from the 3 games.
