Did a great job at Cas I remember

Cas were (and are) 5hit when Ellery went, and with all respect to the big family down the road, Leeds are a damn site better proposition than NL 5hite.

With Mercer returning from Scotland as assistant

would be good to see a GB legend back in top coaching job

Would be delighted if it were Ellery - think I'm right in saying he's from Leeds, but most importantly he would have the respect of the players and not accept any mediocrity or prima donnas. As stated earlier he probably gets on well with GH which would also be a great help.



Can't really see any downsides to this one - fingers crossed.

I remember the last time Salary Hanley was employed by Leeds. The gate prices went up, the beer got more expensive and the burgers became a luxury purchase - all to pay his monstrous wages. And we still won f*** all.

Having said that he did break the tries in a season record for a forward (Bob Haigh's 40 I think) one yaer and he did help us to our first CC final since '78, and he was pretty awesome at times. Oh bollox, I'd like to see him here as well.
