| Is there anybody left on here still thinking we should get rid?
Is there anybody left on here still thinking McGuire is a better scrum half?
I've said elsewhere, when asked to play hooker he outshone Buderus, when asked to play 7, he outshone McGuire. Give the kid the scrum half role and stop fekking about. If we're desperate for Chase fine, but it should be McGuire that loses his place for him.

On present form would have to agree with you. I have never questioned Burrow's commitment, spirit, speed and tackling ability....but he was growing ineffectual at SH. Dummy half against tired forwards is his strength....BUT you're right. A year ago....easy: McGuire. Now ? Of the two Burrow is presently much more valuable.

| McGuire obviously not fully recovered from injury. The medical report for next season should decide the longer term. Robby gives everything and always has and had a good final. Just hope the management have the nouse to make the correct decision.

| I can't tell if you are just trolling or serious.
But I'll bite anyway.
Quote G1="G1"Is there anybody left on here still thinking we should get rid?'"
Yes, becuse he isn't one of the top 6 scrum halfs in super league, and Leeds should have at the very least one of the top 6.
Quote G1="G1"Is there anybody left on here still thinking McGuire is a better scrum half?'"
This is why I couldn't tell if you were just trolling. McGuire looks absolutely shot, not only as a scrum half but as a player aswell. I have my doubts that McGuire wll recover again. But let's not make silly comparisons, because if McGuire does get back to what he was, then he is a far better scrum half.
Quote G1="G1"I've said elsewhere, when asked to play hooker he outshone Buderus'"
That's not just trolling, that's pathetic. Buderus is a million miles above anyone playing hooker at the moment. It makes me laugh people saying if he want's to go let him go. Yes, the sentiment is right to alow him to leave, but let's not kid ourselves. Leeds would be luck to have a top 8 spot this year without him this year. I despair how this club will perform next year without him. Burrow has never eclipsed Buderus as an hooker, and if you think Saturday in anyway give you a point then you know less about the game than you think.
At this moment in time, McGuire is a huge problem for this club because he looks finished. And on that score you have a point on Burrow should be starting every game. We will lose nothing now by going with the halfback pairing of old, and something we should have done weeks ago. Let's see if McGuire can recover. But I have a feeling any thoughts the club quite rightly had about Burrow could be changing very soon, not because of Burrow but because of McGuire.

| Never thought we should get rid of Burrow but for all his "impact" off the bench when Buderus returns to the field he continues to have plenty of impact at 7 and i've said elsewhere play the 6,7 and 13 in their natural positions it aint rocket science.

| What is interesting is the way that we are now using Burrow......as an impact player at dummy-half off the bench. Not his choice but McDermott's, and Robbie deserves a big hand for filling the role he is being asked to play without complaint. The problem seems to be that while he is still on the bench, we are leaking points and giving opposition teams a jump on us, and that, for me is down to the lack of co-ordination beteween Sinny at SO and Mags at SH. The structure simply isnt there, and therein lies a problem that needs to be solved. If that means dumping Maguire so be it, but I dont see that happening either to be honest.
I say again, this is where we should be utilising Paul McShane now, because if Bedsy goes home Macca will be our first choice hooker next year, and we really need to be planning some kind of structure in the half-backs/hooker combinations now for next season.
In defence of Danny Maguire, i actually thought he was looking a little more like his old self recently, but considering the extent of his knee injury, it's hardly surprising that he has struggled to regain some of his old form.

Buderus has publically stated that he's going nowhere next season unless Leeds release him and if they don't he'll honour his contract with full integrity.
Hetherington has indicated that unless Leeds can find a suitable replacement Buderus will not be released from the final year of his contract.
So far Leeds have announced the capture of Richard Moore.
__________
Burrow I imagine is fulfilling the role of impact hooker in the manner Coach McClennan probably was seeking when asking his CEO for a two hooker rotation option from the bench.
In that role he brings something Buderus cannot on the other hand Buderus leads the defensive line speed and sets the defensive intensity which is something Burrow cannot.

Yes he has been quoted as saying that and then it's been reported that we are supposed to be looking at Lincoln Withers!!! Not exactly like for like.

| I'm not concerned with journalist's reports of interests so much as the actual signings when they are announced.
Hetherington can only be fairly judged as and when and if a replacement for Buderus for 2012 is required and delivered.

Snippet from Buderus post-Wembley interview gives something away:
"As for Buderus himself, at the age of 33, the seasoned New South Wales-born forward, in his third season with Leeds after signed from Newcastle Knights in 2008, admitted that there may not be too many opportunities to get back to Wembley.
"It's probably my last chance," he said. "But anyone who gets a run out there always knows it could be their last chance to play here.""

| Agree with G1 re the Burrow situation if it had of been anyone else but D Mags he would have been out. D Mags great player and needs time but for me not getting any better so cannot see why he's getting nod over RB. The buderus call is different the man has been excellent and leads the chase and tackle line great not as many dummy half runs as he used to though and RB could never tackle with the same strengh as DB.

Burrow was my MOM for Leeds and was the main reason we got back into the game. However he did not outshine Buderus at hooker who superbly led the defensive line yet again to get in the Wigan faces.
In the 2nd half when all our creative players were on at the same time it was McGuire who was the weak link and perhaps had Sinfield stayed at 6 we would have had a more structured attack.
