| Can we put this idea to bed now.
Two of the best wingers trys you could wish to see, made even better by the fact he was playing on the opposite wing to usual. Reed couldn't have done any better for the second either, superb centre play after Tomkins did his stuff.

No, you misunderstand! I meant he tried really hard twice
Worryingly, as a teacher, I thought about it as I typed it too! My only excuse is it's Saturday!

| Ryan Hall is a superb finisher. He has the strength of a second rower with the pace. Given more time who knows he could become a great centre and be the next Mal Maninga, he too was just like a tank with pace.

| He's a winger. The best in the world on that showing today. Maybe the Aussies should have watched some video of him, he just doesn't slow down when he goes for the line, he just blasts over. I remember the first game Grothe played for Leeds, the thing that hit me about him was that he was so direct, I'd never seen a guy who just pinned his ears back and defied anyone to stop him getting over like that. Hall has that, his try in the GF, the two today, all world class finishes. Slater hits like a tank and Hall hardly felt it, Grothe would have approved I think.
If I was an NRL coach I would be trying to find out when he was out of contract.

Have to say I cannot disagree....I too remember Grothe. Hall's finishing abilities are second to nobody and I concede he must stay on the wing. The only question now is WHICH wing ??
Said elsewhere Hall and Sam Tomkins are the only ones that could displace anybody from the first Aussie 17 on today's performance. We should be very very worried about our greatest talents staying in the SL.

I'm too young to have seen Grothe but for me Hall is the best finisher I've ever seen - the combination of strength and agility frankly makes the boy a bit of a freak.

| The bet finisher in the game. If he had been in Briscoe's place there would never have been any debate about whether it was double movement, he would have finished it off first time.

Might have known you couldn't get through a thread without some sort of positional change
