What snide comments? You hear coaches and players telling fans they have a role to play and asking them to get behind the team most weeks.



"Of course it will be tough, but I think the crowd are in for a really good game and we need them to get behind us."



Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, I like the coach/players asking the crowd to crank it up - can make for a great atmosphere.

But the whole statement for me is a massive white flag. It comes over to me as "I've no clue what I'm doing, we're going to get humiliated".

The players can get the crowd spured on by making the big hits, making great runs. We will kick in when it's needed. I fully hope to be ho on Saturday, giving me reason to lubricate my voice box

That's what you think he is inferring. I've read that sort of comment on the Saints website millions of times to try to sell more tickets and create an atmosphere. If it was anybody else at the club but Potter, nobody would read anything into it.



I don't know why Ski is taking offence anyway - on Redvee he's posted that the fans won't sing for the team on Friday, now he is complaining that the coach is pointing out the importance of doing so. He needs to make his mind up.

i've heard this from every coach we've ever had.



"i urge all the fans to get behind us"

"the supporters can be that extra lift we need"



so on and so on.. don't see how this is any different.. if saints read this i think they'd be laughing at some of our supporters for, 'can't do right for doing wrong'
