| Saints won today 40 plus points to 12. Keeps us at the top of the table with Hull KR.
Lewis 'dougie' Charnock
Tom Roughley
Greg Richards
All made there u18's debut after moving up from the 16's. It was Charnocks first game for 12 months and he was very good.
Saints far too good once again at this level.

| How is the boy Brotherton doing? He looked a likely lad in the youtube videos of him playing for Northampton.

| Brotherton is with the U20's and is doing ok. It's a team that as no consistency because of the first team injuries.
Interesting that Saints have just signed another lad from Northampton for our U15 scholarship team for next season. Apparantly he is a very good player.

Putting Antipodean over 30s ahead of developing the kids again I see. I wonder what Rogues' excuse is for this failure?

I'm sure he said a while back that they were a poor crop of youngsters this time. I've just posted on the cherry and white about it. Their team just won today 24-20 v Hull

As I've just explained on the Wigan site in answer to AM's post.
Quote Rogues Gallery="Rogues Gallery"There are no league tables for the U18's, and there is no play off competition, same as last year, stupid idea imo. It's supposed to help younger players develop their skills rather than be competitive (don't shoot the messenger)
The U18's have been poor for the last two seasons at Wigan due mainly to low recruitment and the fact that the better players get pushed straight into the U20's. Now if you want to compare those teams then there are league tables published, with Wigan and Wire fighting it out for top spot. Wigan have lost two games and Wire three, Saints I don't think will make the play offs. (top six)

| Most of our under 20's though are either on standby for first team duties or are playing for first team. Wigan are still in 9th place in the under 18's though.
If you look on the official Saints site they have a league table which shows Saints top and Wigan 9th.

They have a "star"(expensive) Antipodean playing in the u 20's by the name of Amos Roberts!
The Saints u 18's are a very good crop of youngsters & most of them are only 17 & most of them are signed up. They are touring Australia in Oct/Nov. The majority of the team have come through from Portico u 16's & were National Champions last year, being coached by one Bernard Dwyer.
