How come Tuson only got 1 match when he was on a charge that was for 2-3 matches? An early guilty plea would mean he would get the minimum of 2.

He wasn't given the chance of an early guilty plea. The guidelines are "recommended" tariffs with discretion to give a lower or higher penalty. I assume they took into account being punched in the back of the head while his back was turned as partial mitigation.

Awww, I was hoping for 5 so we could play somebody who may actually contribute something. I'd like to see a run for Forster to fill the vacancy. He made a good start earlier in the season and deserves another go.

Amusingly, on Hock's page, Mr Wane states that "...since joining Wigan Mr Hock’s behaviour has been impeccable both on and off the field...."

Can i add my opinion to all this, it wasn't much really was it? a few slaps here and there, gosh it was a derby game for heavens sake, last week a Leeds player put Makinson out for probably 2 or 3 games and had no case to answer, the fight on Sunday nobody was injured no blood spilt, goodness knows what some of the older players thought of it, and lets face it we all like a bit of a punch up!!!

Was it one game for the punching and 2 games for making a complete ass of himself?

"The Committee feel that Mr Tuson is clearly blindsided by a complete shlthouse in this instance and that his initial reactions were an attempt to defend himself. The panel do however believe Mr Tuson’s reaction went further than necessary but take into account the significant level of provocation in this instance. The panel give credit to Mr Tuson for his guilty plea, good disciplinary record, and for initially avoiding a confrontation. Therefore the panel wish to downgrade this offence to a Grade B offence and feel that a 1 match suspension and £300 fine are in order."
