100% right he was in a poor side that day but most of the others kept battling until the end he gave up the ghost well before that.

Widnes would be better off going for Ben Fisher.

Contracted at Batley but on loan to Catalans.

Fisher is third in the pecking order behind Henderson and Pelisier.

He can play 7 or 9 and could do a good job for Widnes.

Fisher is a good player but I want to give Hanbury as much time this year at 7 as possible. His defence is appauling however he has shown glimpses of class in attack. We dont need him at Hooker. Rooney had a flirt with the top flight in around 2007 but didn't have the heart. Been sliding downwards ever since.

I thought he did alright at Wakey was quite surprised he moved up to Whitehaven. What has happened with his son? I can't remember what exactly was wrong with him but I remember he was needing treatment in another country for treatment (Poland i think).

He had 2 good seasons with us and was a fans favorite whilst here, also one of a very few recent wakey players to gain international caps whilst still playing for wakey.

Unfortunately his career has spiralled downwards since leaving us.

With regards to his son I think over £50k was raised for treatment for his cerebal palsy.



Seems another waste of a talent due to habits off the field, RL seems to create a number of these cases
