Anybody else heard this? It will hardly be the answer to Widnes problems though will it.

Is Rooney not thought of well in south Wales then? He didn't do so badly in the Welsh derby on Monday night (I really enjoyed that match btw!).



I would imagine a playmaker would certainly help Widnes. They have been hamstrung since losing their halfback from Australia for the whole season. They are a pretty injury ravaged side and that isn't a good position for any team, much less one that has just made the step up to superleague.

I was at the game and agree that he did well.

He looked OK in CC1, although I thought the Scorpions' full back was their best player, but I don't think he could hack it in SL anymore.

Hasnt he been released amid rumors of a betting scandal? A couple of his ex playing buddies ratted on him because they allege he owes them money.

100% right he was in a poor side that day but most of the others kept battling until the end he gave up the ghost well before that.

Widnes would be better off going for Ben Fisher.

Contracted at Batley but on loan to Catalans.

Fisher is third in the pecking order behind Henderson and Pelisier.

He can play 7 or 9 and could do a good job for Widnes.
