The guys a legend, he's funny and genuine in a way stevo could never hope to be.

Soon as I saw the title of this thread I knew it would be about that comment. It was genius.

The funniest was in the Wakey vs Huddersfield match last week, he said something like "Do you like grag then Stevo"

His name's Barrie btw. Completely agree about him being a legend though. If anyone here hasn't read his autobiography, i would definately recommend it. A very good read, probably the best rugby autobiography i've read in years.

We need more characters like Barrie on our screens!

At the pre season Leeds vs Whitehaven function, Barrie was speaking and a heckler shouted out something to which Barrie replied 'if i were you mate id save all your breath for blowing your lass up when you get home'

Got to agree, reading it really changed my opinion of him, him and Terry make a great duo.



Do they still do there Boots and all interviews with players, I seem to remember them interviewing Brian Carney in a tent once?

Barrie and Phil Clarke to replace Stevo and Eddie for me.



I know Clarke isn't always very well liked amongst Sky viewers, but I think if he reigned his analysis in and followed Eddie's model of commentary, Barrie could take over from Stevo's role and there would be a great duo there.



I've always thought Clarke, Barrie and O'Connor were being groomed to take over from Stevo and Eddie. When will it finally happen!? And, when will they stop bringing McRae into the studio!?!

I loved his autobiography, loved the part were he got cs gassed, he was the first one in the country to be gassed by the police.

McDermott is ok, a decent laugh and talks reasonable sense at times (compared the others anyway!), however, O'Connor has the most boring voice in the world. He goes on and just states the obvious all the time, he looks very uncomfortable as well at times, basically he's e. I used to think Clarke was ok too, but now all he ever says is 'This team are the best team at.....', every team is the best team at doing something, but then a week later, another team is the best at doing the same thing!
