For me it's the extremely dull 'come on you Saints' from St Helens fans. Awful stuff.



Also annoying is the chant of 'Wigoon, Wigoon' from Wigan fans while pointing their fingers in unison.

Funny that, since 'Come On You Saints' was the only chant to be heard in the Halliwell Jones tonight!

The worst were the 'We are staying up' chants in the days of automatic P&R. Like it's an achievement to not be the worst team in the league.

It is!!!!



It may not be the crowning achievement, but it's certainly an achievement.

The mentality that being one of the worst but not quite the worst is something to celebrate is probably a major factor in England's traditionally poor performances in international sport.

Nothing wrong with celebrating a victory at different levels.



It's like saying you can only celebrate if you win the league. It's a really negative attitude.

It's not celebrating victory, it's celebrating not being the worst. There's no logic to that unless your expectation was to be the worst, which again is a totally backwards attitude.

I've always cringed when teams from this side of the Pennines start the 'Yorkshire Yorkshire' chant. Just seems really parochial.

I always used to enjoy that at The Willows, when Leeds fans started from the North Stand - and after a few "Yaaarkshires", the Shed would reply "Baaa"

Worst chants in RL? Any that involve a drum.

Any club, in any sport, where said club is mid table or thereabouts but is .... " by FAR the greatest team the world has EVER seen"

Any with a drum.



And also barmy army.

What about 'wires, wires, wires' then? Seem to have accidentally missed out that one?



I like those chants in the right situation, I do think they are daft when nothing really is happening, though.

Not too bothered what the fans of teams want to chant. I'm usually just glad they do to create a decent atmosphere inside the grounds.
