Walking from the HJ to the bus station after the game, I saw some Graffiti on Dallam lane opposite the 3 Pidgeons-"O'Jays Dolly"



I remember seeing this in the 70's along with "wires razor gang" on Priestley Street bridge. The latter has long gone, but who is Dolly? Is he or she still around? Was he/she a fan of the O'Jays? Is there any older Graffiti about town? Does anyone care?

There's a STOP sign somewhere in Lymm, that someone wrote "Hammer Time" underneath, thats been there since I was a kid. Not as old as yours though.

Punk Phase II or something? I remember seeing it as a kid walking over to Wilderspool and it still being there last time I walked over the bridge, probably a couple of years ago now tbh.

It's got to be "free Radio" on the old railway bridge on halfields road. I am 42 and it was there when I was going to Beamont infants school 37 years ago!!

top of eagle brow... over the years the council have had the 'stop' removed on many occasions.. only for the cheeky chappies to keep putting the stop back again.

Anothjer one, not thje oldest but one of the funiest I found was on the shop that is now Phils Store on Central Ave, Orford.



It was run by Pakistani's and local kids wrote on the roller shutters Gandi is a twit with an a. Obviously Gandi was indian and pakistanis and Indians don't exactly see eye to eye, just found it funny.

Can't beleive nobody has mentioned 'The Phantom was here' contained within some kind of batman symbol on the side of peninsula house in orford. Has been there since at least 1981 and it looked old then!

Gandi is probably a 15 year old English born chav with Indian parents. I doubt it was a political message against Mahatma Ghandi.
