Any political party with the guts to strap on a pair of would walk the next election. I wish they would come and speak to Joe Public about what the country really wants. Does anyone ever hear of anybody who supports this sort crap? Time to put an end to all this sort of rubbish.

Here, here. Fact of the matter is we should all grow a pair of bollox and fight this mindless crap. The minority of this country have so much pull it's untrue.

I am sick of all this political correctness but i blame these lawyer firms who will sue anything and anybody on your behalf

IMO it all come about because of the 'ambulance chasing' that goes on (and yes I know that one is our main sponsor this year) and the 'sue you' society that we now live in, everybody is frightened to death of having a law suit taken out against them.

And Yes I think the decision was right to cancel if there was the slightest danger of anyone being injured lets not forget it would be our council taxes that would have footed the bill - yes I know insurance would have but who pays the extra premiums.

this decision should be applauded, it's an absolute disgrace to call out two fat ladies, kellys eye should be banned also similarly those playing bingo should be stopped from shouting wobble wobble, and tha want's one after the shout doctors orders.

The tale I was told from a council office muppet was they were only gritting the main roads ( not the pavements ) as she said that if they gritted some of the side-streets and it re-froze and you then fell then you may have a claim for negligence , So if they don't touch it any snow or ice is classed as an act of God





Solution Is



Learn how to drive in the conditions by using skid pans and such as it will help you no end





And as like Fred I am a very experienced ( over qualified ) professional driver in these conditions and did 190 miles around the side streets of Leigh without a mis hap today





A tip for our younger drivers that are going to venture out , weigh up the street your going into and weigh if its on a slope and can you turn around and get out





Use the highest gear possible on sheet ice ( 3rd works for me ) and do everything 30 yds before you get there , if you slide then you've time to suss it all out
