| The world has gone mad. The one benefit of any dual registration was a means of youth development (if it was developing players on behalf of other clubs), but this just takes the p1ss.

| So there are 8 Warrington players in the 19 man squad which means that at least 6 will be in the matchday lineup!
I have obviously missed some of the details to the new structure -
a) What happened to under 22 years old
b) Isn't 4 the maximum a team can have?

Think there is actually 9 Wire players in there Jack Morrison is a wire player too according to the swinton match reports although he isn't listed in the warrington 1st team squad like the others.
The rules definately need clearing up. Seeing as Workington also have a 'full team' dual contract deal with widnes I wouldn't be surprised to see a good few DC's lining up for both side's Swinton/Wire v Workington/Widnes

| This really does start to take the mick and really devalues the Championship for me. Like Matt says it used to have the justification of giving young players real game time, and only a few at each club. These new deals and partnerships we see at Swinton sand others are basically fullfilling the feeder club prophecies we had a few seasons ago.
The Championship is a fine competition in its own right. We don't want to become the Super League fringe player and rehabilitation league, basically a glorified reserves comp.

| As a Fax supporter I am glad that our coach made a stand against having anything to do with this arrangement with Super League .But come the end of the season will I still feel the same way if the teams who have decided to sign up are at the top of the table due to playing all these Super League players ? If our teams are langiushing on the bottom will fans start to change their minds especially if they walk into all the finals ,the Super League Clubs who wanted this are just down right selfish in my opinion and nothing changes there but the RFL should not allow it to happen .The amount of players they are useing is too many.

| No age limit anymore, however Swintons salary cap will be affected. Somewhere is a sliding scale of how much of their salary cap gets used for each player dependant on their warrington salary. Won't happen that often I don't think, but I feel Swinton will make use of thissystem more than most as they only have a squad of 16/17 of their own players. Absolute total and utter joke. Its got jack all to do with youth development.
But I'm sure it will have its supporters somewhere. Incidentally there should only be 5 DC players in the playing squad on the day

But concievably Warrington could ' loan ' Swinton 10 or more juniors on 1 season deals leaving swinton only needing 6-7 players of their own to put out a team

| At least Dave Woods showed a little common sense last night, when he said he'd been offered 3 saints players, including one who has played in a S/L G/F....but declined them all, as he wants to see how his contracted players go, as he thought it only fair.

| Well my view is this will come back to bite Swinton.
An injury crisis at Wire later in the season and then what do they do ?
I am also of the opinion that there is not that depth of quality in NON RELEGATION league clubs to have that much impact on the top 4/5 clubs in the Championship.
We as a club accepted as many as 4DC players in the past and we got on with it but did lose such players at critical times.
I don't like this new innovation but long term I do not think it is sustainable.

Are they allowed DC players and 'loan' players. Teams not twinned can only have loan players. So shouldn't it be the same the other way round.
So any 'ambitious' clubs who are refusing to toe the party line get penalised/screwed over by the RFL and fat boy.
The championship chairmens collective brain power must be about as powerful as an amoeba

| I'm told that, when we enquired about taking Laithwaite on loan, Warrington's response was that they would only consider loaning him out to a Super League club.
And I thought there were rules about the number of D/C or loan players you could name in your squad? I believe 'Demon' was right with 5.
