It's a nice sentiment and certainly shows a lot of faith in Tony Clubb.



But no one will remember this if we have another poor season. There won't be a “Harlequins Rugby League opted to play without their full Overseas Quota for the good of the British game” footnote appended to the end of final league table. Almost every other club seems to be running around organising passports and trying to find loopholes and exceptions.



If Brian thinks we don't necessarily need another centre, what about another outside back or more to the point a [iCREATIVE[/i half back/back rower from overseas. Surely another good overseas player wouldn't go amiss in a squad which seems to be lacking in proven top line quality. This is a squad weaker than the one which lost to a mediocre Castleford outfit 48-0 at home.

Don't know how you fair for props but Stosic would be a great signing for just any super league club

Glad Clubby is getting a run at centre, he has shown he can perform there in the past and needs to make it his own now. We do need another halfback though, so we can drop Dorn, we also need to think about when Orr leaves us, I'm not sure Gale is of the same calibre.

Was wondering this morning if we had a place on quota for a this guy,when i read he was unable to get a passport to stay with Wakey. I think he would fit in well with our pack and add a bit to it.



I know sometimes if Clubs get the chance and can leave an overseas place open and hope or see if anyone comes available from Aus/NZ during the season. But in our case i dont think we can take this chance, we have all had our say about the squad and if there is any money still in the kitty then we should be making a offer for him or as others have asked for cover at HB or Centre.

Well personally I like the "home grown" attituude. The whole idea of licensing was to develop this but other clubs seem to be sticking 2 fingers up at it. Bradford Sea Eagles anyone!!!!



We have just watched the Aussies win another tournament for goodnes sake.

I'd love the team to finish bottom, play awful rugby, leading to lower crowds, leading to us not getting another franchise and folding. No honestly, this "home grown" attitude is well worth it.

He has no peripheral vision and forgets / ignores his wingman, he cant step and uses the 'run over them' approach, prone to lapses of concentration when one on one and worst of all continues to leap out of the line to put a big shoulder charge on - quite laughable. He does have good speed though





If JW plays outside him he might go 2 full seasons without scoring a try !!!



Good luck to the lad, but in my eyes a Paul Johnson would do a far better job.
