Just wanted to let you know about the semi finals that are taking place across London this Saturday for the London Leagues.



South West London Chargers have earned home semi finals in both leagues and will play the following games at Chiswick Rugby Club.



1:00pm SW London Chargers A v Thames Ditton Tigers

(London Entry League Semi Final 1 V 4)



2:30pm SW London Chargers v London Skolars A

(London Premier League Semi Final 2 v 3)



For those of you who came to the cup final you will know it will be a great game and Chiswick Rugby Club is a great facility.



Other Semi Finals taking place are:



2:30pm Hammersmith Hills Hoists v Eastern Rhinos

(London Premier League Semi Final 1 v 4) @ Wasps Rugby Club



2:30pm Newham Dockers v Staines Titans

(London Entry League Semi Final 2 v 3) @ East London Rugby Club



Hope some of you get the chance to see the amature game standard in London.

Are the Hoists still predominantly ANZACS?



They do seem to dominate the comps they're in......

From the touch line when I saw them at Chiswick, the Hoists appeared to be of ANZAC stock

Yes but not exclusively, got to be a good thing to have a stronger quality team like that in the league. Will only raise the overall standard.

This is great....a tournament that a team from London is guarnteed to win

They where the Aussie Green and Gold so it is a bit of a giveaway.

They are a much more diverse club these days with some good local English lads - that being said they are still dominated by Australian's.



SW London Chargers has had 70 players play for us this season with about 30 of those being Aussie or Kiwi - we have a great mix of expat ANZACS, London Northerners, and some local London talent.



Hammersmith are always tough to beat but with both our teams in the finals and already winning the London Cup final fingers crossed it is our year.

The League this year had been very tight, Hemel A, Skolars A, Eastern Rhinos, Hammermsith, & SW London have all had good wins over each and there were 3 draws also.



The League finished:



Hammersmith 14pts

SW London 13pts

Skolars A 12pts

Eastern 11pts

Hemel A 8pts

Elmbridge 2pts
