| Quote Captain13="Captain13"I challenge anyone who's followed Wigan intently since we reached such an occasion to tell me they didnt have a tear in their eye! also, watching the rerun on sky where captain lifted the trophy with that unfakeable smile on his face and the immense 'This could be my moment' track by the Verve played at the end of the tv coverage.. Amazing!
Makes all the gash performances over the years and all the money spent travelling here and there well well worth it!
If we win it again within the next 7 years il be chuffed to bits but i have a feeling we could be at Old Trafford/Wembley in the not too distant future!
Dont you's?
'"
I was so made up for our younger supporters, and the ones like the big yin here who haven't seen anything like the highs (and indeed lows) that I have.
When that final hooter sounded I hugged mini and thought about my dad and what it would have meant to him.
Yes I shed a tear.
And today has made it even better in that I have had some fantastic news, which I will share with friends in a few weeks.
I went to see my mother (aged 8icon_cool.gif today and the smile on her face was worth a million pounds. I had a whisky, she had a brandy and we toasted the victory.
Thank you Wigan RLFC, you did us all proud.

How good is that uncontrollable feeling, knowing that you was there at that exact moment, you can do nothing but smile!

| I wasn`t close to tears due to the amount of alcohol inside of me , but I did think it was like the old Wembley days when you could hear different parts of our side of the ground chanting .
This is a start for us we`re seeing younger fans joining us and enjoying success , we`ll take alot of our younger Wiganers away from the blue side of town .
We`re going to be even better next season , bring it on

I had more than a few tears in my eyes after the final whistle, today at the homecoming and also reading your post Rogues..
Wigan is OUR club... we are back and I am expecting a few more tears of joy over the next few years... It is with a huge amount of gratitude that I thank everyone who has worked tirelessly to get our club back to were it now stands... yes things will get even better, of that I have no doubt.. But a few glasses of wine tonight and another replay of the game, I will go into work tomorrow with the biggest smile on my
face..
I challenge anyone to YOUTUBE the video of M-people and "PROUD" and not have a few tears after this weekends exploits...

| Wasn't around in the glory years but the special thing with Wigan RLFC is that those that were pass on the experiences!
Only known bad times (mostly) as a Wigan fan.
Got a good telling off from the other half as I cried as the players walked out and between the fireworks!
Proud!

| I was close to blubbing but resorted to hugging strangers and firm handshakes.
Any fan who didn't resort to some form of celebration must need there bumps feeling for concussion and made to watch the GF in a dark room for 24 hours solid.

| I'm sorry, I didn't. I was made up beyond belief and jumping around like an idiot hugging everyone in sight shouting 'Yeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh' but one thing I really can't do is cry. Not taking away anything from anyone who did as people have their own reasons for doing so and fair play to you, I'm sure my time will come.
The only time since being a kid I had a tear in my eye was when Greg passed away and on Granada reports showed him scoring the try V Australia in 88 for GB with the Verve - Drugs Don't Work on in the background.
