| Just watched the Cats v Saints game in which Elima was sent off immediately for connecting with the shoulder to the chin as he was trying to do a shoulder charge high up. I've also watched the Morley on Hansen where the upper arm shoulder connected with the head. I think Morley should go before the disciplinary committee again. Barry Mcdermott loved it but having read his book, he always went on the pitch to do similar damage. He also condoned the punch to Richards' head by Bridge. Commentators should not praise illegal aggression.

| It's a tough call and I guess it will come down to whether or not either player was trying to make a tackle or just hit the guy. Elima was deemed to have not been trying to make a tackle and got sent off, Morley was deemed to have been trying to make a tackle and didn't.

| McDermott was quite positive towards Wigan all evening but "Richards has poked Bridge in the chest" ... What was all that about? He made it sound as though Richards had punched him twice or something. It was two fends and Bridge took exception to it.

| Yea he claimed Richards had a go at him even though the 2 fends where completely legal and to to the chest, so the punch was justified.

| Nothing wrong with Morleys hit on Hansen, and he wasn't condoning Bridge throwing a punch he stated he threw the punch because Richards handed him off twice which caused frustration!
Mountain out of a mole hill this one.

| I have to agree with Barrie on this one. It’s that raw aggression which makes our game what it is.
It's part of our game which makes it stand out from other popular sports like Football and even none contact sports like Cricket. They just can’t match the contact and physicality.
As long as the players don’t go over the top with out and out thuggery it’s alright for me.
Morley’s tackle on Hansen was a little miss timed but I personally thought there was nothing wrong with it.

Also, fair play to Hansen. He did very very well holding onto that ball after such a hit.

I love the aggression also. I love Leuluai's hits which are always legal. I didn't like Terry Newton's hit on Long and I was glad when he left Wigan even though many fans lamented it.

To be honest I hated some of the stuff Terry used to do as well, and got deeply frustrated at his giving penalties away needlessly. A really talented player who had no need at all to have that element to his game.
