Why is the Wigan V Warrington game being advertised as "Champions Collide"??



Since when have the Challenge Cup winners been called Champions?



I know I'm probably being picky but last season when Leeds played Warrington I bet they didn't advertise it like that!

Marketing, and it's something Wigan are thankfully very good at.

Didn't go the friendly down here then i take it?

Correct. Could be the difference between a 20k crowd and a 23k crowd.

Don't think we'll get 23k for this one. Only got 22k last year with cheaper tickets.



According to E-tickets we have already sold over 12,000 and wire will bring around 4k so with no more work it will be well over 16k..... Around 20k I reckon.

If we win on friday with a weakened team, its worth about another 2k on top of that i reckon.

hold on a second, a few months ago you were all sitting here with titty lip's about the fact we had the audacity to call ourselves champions..... now your marketing team copy the idea from us and it's "its just marketing, were good at it"

To be fair, this is true. Wire were mocked for their marketing team calling them 'Champions'

seriously who cares it's just a way to get more bums on seats.



God are we the only sport that moans about everything that should be cheering about.
