| Did anyone notice the clock stop with 5:03 left for about a minute? Who knows what impact it would have had but bit of a cock up. Wigan physio pointed it out to the ref so they obviously noticed it too. Perhaps that's why we went for DG early in the set because they thought hooter might go any time. Anyway, a very entertaining game! Well done to the lads... and the crowd.

| Yeah I thought they would have sorted it out once noticed but it just carried on counting down normally, hull wouldn't have got that last drop goal if it hadn't stopped. Oh well the young lads get some SL experience and learn how crap the standard of super league refereeing is all in one night.

| Yes. A right royal f**k up by the officials. It was at least 60 seconds whilst the ball was in play. Very proud night however and it was slightly amusing to see the Hull fans dance shirtless after the hooter.

| We had a chance to win it at the end, stopped clock or not, we had chances to win the game.

Agreed. Inexperience leading to the DG attempt being taken straight from the late scrum ultimately cost us at least a point. An older wiser team would have taken a couple of tackles to eat up the clock before going for it. That way whether it goes over or not there would have been no time for a response. Still a great performance though from the team and they will learn from what happened late on.

This. Naive from Powell to go for the drop goal so early in the set but that shouldn't take anything away from what was an excellent performance from a very young team.

I said leaving the ground, that I am as proud tonight as I was last Saturday, immense from our kids. But lets not start blaming the ref or the clock, we had opportunities and didn't take them. These lads have a bright future at the club, and will take a lot from that defeat.

| Wane is claiming in post match conference (source: Observer phil wikinson twitter) the clubs timing was two minutes ahead. That may, or may not, explain the rushed drop goal attempt madness.
What isn't in doubt is that the clock displayed in the west stand (which is an official clock) was halted when Hull formed a rush scrum 50-60 out and remained on 5.03 for the full set in which Hull scored for 33-32. It only restarted when the try had been awarded and it started counting down again from 5.03.
Let's make it clear, that issue isn't Hull's fault and they played to the clock perfectly BUT its a shame if a cock up decided that result!

| as a hull fan i actually thought a draw would have been a fair result, but hey you take what you are given in this game. your younger players seem the part, wonder if there will be a few playing more regularly next season?
andy powell also made a bit of a name for himself

Is it the timekeepers fault? Did Childs signal time back on?

Dunno but even if Child didn't its common sense to put it back on themselves surely.
