As someone who gets tickets from the home team when Wigan play away(I always prefer the best available seats) I received an offer of £10 tickets if bought before Thurs from the Giants. Fans have often asked why do clubs not offer cheaper seats in the play offs to get more fans through the door. The reply has often been that clubs cannot offer cheaper tickets as the prices are fixed by the RL. Well done to the Giants for taking the steps to encourage as many fans as possible for their biggest ever home game at the ground. Other clubs should take note

Well done the Huddersfield management but they must sit there at times and wonder why they bother. Unless the crowds improve this success will be short lives unless they find another Ken Davy.

Agreed. I was expecting at least £20 for my ticket this week but a tenner is a brilliant price! hopefully both teams tonight have sold enough tickets to have the John Smith booming!

It's such a shame they can't sell them though! It's not just Huddersfield, less than 5000 shows that Wigan fans are hardly jumping at the chance to get them either.



It's a symptom of a combination of things. 1, Thursday night, 2, meaningless fixture due to the awful play off system!

Wigan have 2516 tickets & given the usually decent support, I'd imagine 75% will be taken up.



A Thursday won't help with kids being able to go but it's not a meaningless fixture. Winners are 1 game from Old Trafford & get a week off. Losers are 2 games away & have to go again next week against a 5-8 side that will fancy it's chances.

Does anyone know what the score is with booking tickets over the phone? I booked two adults with Wigan early in the week costing £20 for the tickets and an extra £2 for booking over the phone, then today I booked a child's ticket with Huddersfield, £5 for the tickets and no charge for using the phone!

There's a rumour going round that Wigan will lose on purpose tonight to make sure Hudds will get the club call and re-pick should Wigan make the semis!
