working in manchester as i have for many years i always get the manchester evening news and noticed last nights edition the salford piece about a new coach and it said john kear had applied for the position and is contract with wakefield was up at the end of this season thoughts anyone ?

Its what he's doing this season that matters and he is doing a great job, if he wants to go after that then so be it.



I find it hard to believe he's applied for another job, i mean you just wouldn't would you when you already have one, it must be a first that.

It all hinges on SL licence, obviously if we were expecting a licence there would be absolutely no nee to look beyond 3 years time.

How would his pay/contract be affected by dropping down a league.

Having said that, he's doing a top job at the moment and we need to concentrate on this season and be the best we can.

As long as focus stays on this team and Wakefield then that's what matters. If he has feelers out and has options then it's a case of accepting it and getting on with the job at wakey.



This licensing is a damn nightmare.

He's out of contract so ofcourse he's going to be looking for jobs.

If your job was up in 6 months, and you weren't looking for another job, Mrs DD might not be dishing out the conjugal's, quite so merrily.

I admit its unsettling, but it's the circumstances we are in, and we have to accept that players/coach's have a right to look after their families first in such a scenario.

As long as the effort is maintained by everyone, they can job hunt to their heart's content, if we are still in SL next season, they still have the option to remain here.

By reading into what John Wilkinson was saying on boots n' all last night he ain't got a chance anyway. They are wanting an aussie by the sounds.
