If we're talking boarded up pubs/clubs the list will increase daily. Glad to see vine tree reopened last week

The Black Rock has / used to have, a couple of framed lists of closed down pubs, and that was back in the 70s. 3 more anyhoo,

The Balmoral , Double Up, The Saw.

O was brought up in the Union - my dad was Landlord - until I was 17.



Sad to see it like that, but no-one can make any money out of that site without flattening the pub and re-developing it!

I used to work at the vine tree, and the then landlord Dave Petty ( thoroughly decent fella) used to have a copy of an old document tgat used to list the pubs within tge city limits and it was staggering!!!

And that was more than twenty years ago!!

The pub game us completely on its and tge main blame IMO goes down to the pub company's creaming the off it!!

I also was brought up in pubs my Dad was landlord of the Alec in BV 1965 - 67

I used to serve before games then let off about 3 mins before KO still got in to see the start
