Long chat about Danny Kirmond on Super League Back Chat had Rod Stud give Kirmond that moniker.

All round the table said Kirmond deserves a place in the England squad ahead of the likes of Hock and Ellis.

I cant dissagree with that, Hock should be nowhere near the England team come world cup time.



Kirmond was immense on Monday and looks like one of those players who gives that extra 10% that most other players are not willing to give.

Since he has awarded captaincy he has stepped up a whole new level IMO, he has been leading from the front and gives 100% and rarely has a bad game. He chases back after players when hes injured or when he does not match the pace of a player and still continues. It must lift the players because it certainly lifts me.

I really hope he does get the England call up as he has had Ellis, Hock & Farrell in his back pocket when we have played them. I wish him the best and hope he continues this form and keeps improving while he plays in the Red, White & Blue. It also makes me feel like we're off somewhere when he said he wants to stay at the club beyond 2014! I hope he does and for many years after that!

Kirmo is the best captain we've had in ages - he works his knackers off, is as tough as teak and speaks very well, in a reassuringly Yorkshire accent.



Top man - I hope he's here for many years to come, although I'm sure that big money offers will start to come in given his recent form; the more of us who buy a ST, the less likely it will be that Mr G has to consider those offers.

Kirmond could be hit by a train and yet still he would get up and give 110%. A deserving Man of Steel IMO.

Really hit the straps these last 7 games. This is how Steve Southern made his name at Newcastle thats why he was a hero there. Kirmond is a true trojan . It will be great if more and more started to wear the beards.

The poll on the VT speaks volumes.

He's certainly in the Jason Demetriou mold. He's getting a lot of recognition at the moment. For me he's been great the last 2 seasons it's only now it's been recognised in the game at large. Hopefully this will give him an outside chance of making the England squad. Not that I'm holding any hopes out considering Crapnamaras attitude to Danny Brough.

Apparently both parties are close to agreeing a contract extension to captain Kirmo!
