| Really good news, think both Martin and Barron have come on massively over pre season following their experience last season. As has been said by others Barron looked miles away not that long ago but he now under Cartwright with experience around him looks much more assured and confident. Think both Martin & Barron also look to have done a lot of work on the physical side of things too along with Balmforth.
With the recent extensions announced the future is really looking bright. Credit should rightly go to AP for investing in the youth and that will hopefully be a long lasting legacy of his.

| Pearson & Clark got many things wrong towards the end but the decision to increase funding in youth 3-4 years ago is bearing fruit.
Also both Lewis and Harvey are ex footballers so maybe we need to be keeping an eye on 'athletes' that aren't making the football grade as the riches in football will always mean it's more attractive to teenagers than RL.

I don't think the influence of Briscoe can be ignored either. A lot of eyebrows were raised when he was signed but I don't believe it was any coincidence that Martin and Barron (especially the latter) looked much improved players after Briscoe came back.

| Our two wingers will save the club a lot of money, fantastic prospects and both look the real deal too. I agree about Briscoe both will take a lot from his advice as well as Zak, Rapana and a few other experienced old heads around them.

If the club are looking at bringing in an established left centre, I'm really excited to see what that'll do for Martin. With Litten pictured back on the field last week too, we've certainly got a few exciting talents to look forward to watching over the tears to come.

You are right about looking at other sports for athletes to come and play our game. That's what the NRL does. I had and x footballer in one my teams many years ago and he was unbelievable. He was just a natural and had amazing evasive footwork.

| I'd be looking at Herman and Jed ASAP. Three and two years respectively. Ashworth is worth an extension too imo.

Agree, think Herman is a definite must along with Cartwright, but as you say also think Ashworth would be worth an extension too. Both Cartwright & Ashworth have suffered a little with injuries but would say theirs have been mostly caused by poor/mismanagement of the injuries and also coming back too early before full recovery again due to the poor state the club was in staff & squad wise.
