| For me the options next year after the 'Wade exit' are as follows. replace Wade with a quality Fullback, or move Horne to Fullback and bring in a quality half back to compliment Seymour. so the question is where is Hornes future at the club??

| I'd like to see how he goes at full back this year before I answer. I don't think he's got enough to be a top half back anymore, but is still good.
Most top teams have 3 half backs these days and alternate them as and when needed. I think Horne would make a great back-up towards the back end of his career, and not playing as many games may help him out injury-wise.
But if he has a stormer at FB, I'd happily keep him there.

| Hopefully Leon Pryce gets fed up in France and we can snap him up as a great replacement!

not that i disagree but he would be a very expensive back up. (i would imagine, dont actually know his wage)

| Don't see the point as having him as a back up, either play him or don't. Half of Hornes wages, up to 50k, don't count on the cap. Play him fullback and bring in a 6 for me

No idea what his wage is, but if Warrington can afford Briers, Monaghan and Myler as well as Clarke and Higham as hookers (couple of years ago I think this was), surely we can afford another half?

Leeds have Sinfield, McGuire and Burrow that can play in the halves (Burrow is utilised at hooker, but they have two more below that in McShane and now Lunt).
Saints in there day had Pryce, Long, Eastmond (along with Robu and Cunningham at hooker).
I've already mentioned Warrington.
Wigan's GF year had Leuluai, Finch, Deacon.
It's very important to have a half that can just slot in at a high level when playing the big teams. We had to play two kids against Wigan as we had no back up and got mullered. For a team that has a record for picking up injuries all at the same time, I can't believe people can't see the need for a back up!

We do have Westerman who, I know, isnt the greatest half back around but could slot in.
The Wigan situation, we had both our halves out and our 13 which must be a pretty rare occasion.
I also think Ellis still has much improving to do and wouldn't like to write him off just yet.
I think we're arguing the same point here, I'm all for bringing a 6 in and if Hornes going to be at fullback then he's readily available to slot in. We've also got Heremiah who hasn't even featured yet
The part I don't agree with is spending cap money on a half back who's only role is a back up. We'll improve massively as soon as Heremiah starts playing

| Horne needs to be the cover that can play half back and full back we need an eye on the full back spot though as we need a long term player there. Not sure horne could be our full time full back with his injury rate unless we have a young kid or project coming through.

| I'd play him at fullback. i think that the strongest asset of his game is his running and playing at fullback will allow him to link into the line, plus he's not too bad under the high ball.
However, I'd be concerned about his fitness and if he is to be our fullback next year then we'd have to make sure we sign up an understudy for the games where Horne can't play.
However, if we're able to get Russell from Wigan then I would do as he looks a great prospect, although I doubt this would happen.

| Russell wud be great he wud be trained by our experienced players and with a coach like Gentle he would come on leaps and bounds. I would rather have him and Horne as a back up cos Horne is too injury prone now
