A great shame as it would've put us right back in it aside from the fact that it would've been one of the best cup final tries ever.

100% he wouldnt have been caught if he didnt run into Charnleys path but that ifs, buts and maybe's .

if he'd just straightened up he'd have been caught anyway, watch it again, had Wigan players around him. The question we should be asking was where was the backing up?

Players chasing him were green and o'loughlin I think so would have been surprised if either had caught him. Having said that I think either fatigue or nerves got to him as he looked slower than he has when making breaks in the other games he's played

Shaul has good acceleration but isn't a real flyer. They wouldn't have got near Lineham.

I think some here seem to forget what a big difference it is to run without a ball compared to one whom is being chased and is trying to make decisions which way to go and probably looking back (which also slows you down). For sure he should have just gone for the shortest line and taken the tackle if need be.

That's expereince though.
