Has been released along with Grady, Lunt. I'm totally astounded by Hulme and I cannot believe they have let him go. A devastating runner and it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up at saints, wire or Wigan. Massive and stupid mistake by all involved with that one, Grady and Lunt fair enough.

I think the problem for Danny was his age. Ultimately overage for 20's and behind Briscoe, Craven and presumably Jack Owens (not forgetting a probable utility back to come in) for a FB spot. Im not sure what you would do with him as he isnt a half or hooker that has been clear from reserves let alone first team games.



It is a shame but to be honest recruiment has been poor anyway and I see the strap lines are being trotted out now in the local press by Cull.



Far too top heavy at this club on the recruitment side and far too many players and staff even being done favours on personal relationships or previous clubs / experience.

Baffling decision which seems to have been made in some part due to the fact that Danny wanted to remain PT whilst completing his apprenticeship.



As mentioned on the other board though we could have potentially loaned / DR'd him out to a local club like Swinton / Rochdale etc so that he continues with his training, gets regular first team rugby and we can continue to evaluate him.

I think his age and the fact that nobody knows his best position has gone against him. Surprised myself but its a big leap.

Don't know how they can give contracts to Coyle and Allen, but release these three. Im confused, the club have made a huge error there and god help us next season.
