I've only seen him play a few times.
He's not a big guy, but he plays well above his weight.
He is a genuine utility player who gives 100% and reads the play well.
He has a knack of being in the right place to score tries. Penrith have been very good at scoring off set plays and kicks and Burns has been a big part of that.
He's a bit of a hothead who gets suspended a lot, but the flipside of that is he plays with a lot of passion.
He plays hooker at a good standard.
He plays 5/8 at a good standard.
He goes OK at lock.
He can play second row at a pinch.

Probably not as Monaghan at Wire wasn't allowed to play in the NRL for 1 year but got a contract over here to play. |

Slightly different scenario. Dont think Monaghan was banned as such, just couldnt be registered in the NRL.
I think that any ban in Australia would be carried over to the UK. Certainly was when Rovers efforts to sign Les Boyd were scuppered. |

Penrith have been terrible, and i think it's because they play as a bunch of individuals and not as a team - too many of them trying to be the 'star' - and Burns has been one of the guys doing that IMO.
He has plenty of skills and plenty of guts, but he needs a coach who can get him playing for the team. |

Apparently he has a history with the disciplinary committee,However having seen the high shot 9 matches is very harsh.
