| The most naturally talented half we've seen since since Henry Paul. Outclassed Rangi and Dobbo, but alas went off with what looks like the same back/hamstring issues. He looks a natural scrum half but we need to pull out all the stops to sort his fitness out.
In a different hemisphere to Siejka and with him at 7 I'd back us against anyone including HKR and Widnes behind today's pack.

It cramped up a bit could have come back on if needed.

| Thought at the time it just looked like a precaution He had already done all he needed to do.

| A lot of people seem to think we are a side that will totally collapse without Gaskell - and true enough he is a fine player - but to me the common thread between pretty much all of our top performances this year is Mullaney. Seems to inject a bit more life into the squad when he's on the pitch, and he put the far more experienced halves at Salford to shame yesterday and it's probably not even his preferred position. It's just a shame he seems to be made of glass!

| It is clear why we have re-signed Mullaney and after yesterday why Shaw is missing out to Clare.
In the TandA they say they will now be sorting out Mallaney's problems as soon as the season ends so it doesn't happen again.
I am no medic so does anyone know if weak hamstrings can be operated on or is it just rest. Having a good rest is fine but it could go again in the first game back. The lad must be frustrated and worried that if it doesn't get fixed it could ruin his career.

| I noticed on Twitter the Salford fans giving him some stick for the celebration in front of them after his first try, which he has apologised for a couple of times. I can't remember it being particularly bad.. did anyone get a better view of it?

| I quite like Addy at scrum half though. I think he adds a lot defensively as it's basically another forward in there.
With the way Clare played at Full back though I think we have to keep him there with Mullaney in the halves.
Also Caro played well yesterday on the wing I thought.

Agree with all of this. I would keep the starting line-up for the Widnes game exactly the same if everyone is fit, with Gaskell on the bench. We keep saying that we are playing without a recognised half back, Danny Addy is doing a pretty good job to be recognised as one.

Didn't even notice it to be honest, but there were plenty of Bulls' fans on that Terrace too so why shouldn't he celebrate there? I mean, that's the end he scored at, it's not as though he ran 100 metres to do it especially for them.

He did an "up yours" type gesture while throwing the ball up in the air and towards the Salford fans, although he'd have to throw it a long way for it to be harmful.

| I was gobsmacked when Cas sold Clare. Granted he is behind Carney & Solomona but must be a better investment than Gibson & Channing. One for the future there.
