What happened to the rule about the ball bouncing over the line before it's out of play?

I don't know what was more shocking, the video refs decision or Orr and Griffin's attempted tackle on Hall.

Give up with this game. Knock ons are the new forward passes. Anything goes.

Sinfield is behind the line, he touches it and the ball ends up beyond the line.



Clear knock on but yet again Silverwood is so poor.

Definitely a knock-on.



Why do on-field refs still exist? EVERYTHING is being sent to the video ref!....

Your observations not great, firstly it was hardacre not sinfield and secondly it bounces before the line (yes I paused it on sky plus, yes I'm a geek)

The video ref experiment should be consigned to the bin... there isn't a VR at every game and, when there is a VR it is amazing how many times they make decisions hat to mere mortals struggle to comprehend.

Obviously I'm biased but:



If a player touches the ball before a line and it bounces after the line, it's a clear indication of a knock-on. One of the worst Video Ref decisions since Watts' 'try' against Cas a couple of years ago, or the try JJB was given early last season (can't remember who against) when even he didn't think he'd made the line.



What has happened to the new 'ball out of play' rule? I thought the ball had to hit the ground/advertising board/supporter before being deemed out of play, and if touched by another player (ie Ryan Hall) he is deemed to have taken the ball out of play?



It also seems that the interpretation of players knocking on when their intention was to tackle the player in posession has changed.

Thing is though, it doesn't bounce after the line.

Are you seriously suggesting it didn't go forwards?
