Good news for the club must have been a nightmare for mc and his team sorting it all out.its got to be said there is no substitute for good management and I believe we have the best in SL.

Excellent news, I Hope no one on here berates any player for not agreeing to new pay rates. We all have to do whatever seems right for ourselves and family. Roll on Monday morning, get the players together and renew the team spirit.

Out of curiosity would you sit and watch your work mates and friends all take the same pay cut to secure your employment, complain about, then take your family on holiday?

I’m retired now, worked until I was 67, worked mostly in engineering, different rates of pay for worker on the same shop floor, yes, at times had to take pay cuts rather than redundancy, even then I went through 3 redundancy during 52 working years. As I’ve already said, each individual has to do whats best for themselves, doesn’t mean they like doing it. Some will find “what goes round, comes around”.

Just a “yes or no” in the situation I described would do

Those names are those whose contracts expire this term.

Well why buy them then?

Point made but it does not mean a reduction in pay results in not taking a holiday.



I am sure in such a scenario the employer or employees will have some influence on how things progress.
